Honored to present at the Early and Mid-Career Researcher Forum on June 3, 2025, hosted by the BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health, BRAC University.
I had the opportunity to share implementation experiences from one of our research projects, co-presenting with my respected senior colleague Dr. Lamisa Rahman.
During the session, I spoke about real-world operational challenges encountered during field implementation, such as:
- Delays in securing permissions from diverse facility types
- Limited access to sensitive records and respondents
- Logistical difficulties in hard-to-reach areas
- Field team fatigue and multi-tasking pressures
- Managing high-level stakeholder engagement for dissemination
We also discussed mitigation strategies that supported us throughout, including:
- Early planning and tailored field coordination
- Adaptive data collection tools and workflows
- Strong communication and rapport-building with stakeholders
- Collaborative efforts in quality assurance and monitoring
The session concluded with a reflective discussion, inviting colleagues to share how they overcame similar operational challenges in complex field settings.
Grateful to Dr. Nahitun Naher (Deputy Director) Apa for moderating and facilitating discussion sessions.
